TAP RHYTHM JAM

A Tap Jam is a place for tap dancers to improvise with musicians and other tap dancers. Everyone is welcome to take part or simply watch and enjoy. Come and enjoy amazing improvised tap performance with live music, and give it a try yourself either in our renegade stage workshop or as part of the main jam.

Tap Rhythm Jam is hosted by Jess Murray and features the Joe Egan Trio.

Tap Rhythm Jam Online on Saturday 18th July 5:00pm – 7:30pm. Cost £10

Jam with musicians live in the workshop and perform with tracks created by our house band especially for tap dancers. Limited to 15 participants so book your place now.

The first part of the session will be a workshop led by the musicians where you can respond to their playing through improvisation tasks. The second part of the jam will be a chance for you all to perform. The band have created backing tracks, especially for tap dancers, that you will be able to download and dance to for your performance.

We will have an interval where you can all chat and catch up – just like we do at the jam. There will also be some special guest musicians popping in that you will recognise from our previous jams.

To book on, email to reserve you place. jess@tapproject.com

Our band is led by Guitarist Joe Egan, host of Bitches Be Brewin’ jam night and member of Major Ruse. We also have the fantastic Andy Tytherleigh on Bass and Jamie Sykes on Drums.  Tap Rhythm Jams are open to dancers of all levels of experience from complete beginners to professional performers.
